Sterling is a village in Arenac County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 530 at the 2010 census. The village is located within Deep River Township.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.98 square miles (2.54 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 530 people, 185 households, and 134 families residing in the village. The population density was 540.8 inhabitants per square mile (208.8/km2). There were 206 housing units at an average density of 210.2 per square mile (81.2/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 97.0% White, 0.9% Native American, 0.2% from other races, and 1.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.7% of the population.
